“Photography was my opportunity to start over. After a series of life-altering events I rediscovered happiness through the lens.

One of things I love most about my photography is the beauty it generates. And by “beauty,” I don’t necessarily mean how someone looks. Because depending on the person, and type of photography, it could be a image that isn’t “beautiful” by the world’s standards. Most people associate the word “smile” with the moment a picture is captured. But I find it most gratifying to know that I can associate the word “smile” with the reaction of anyone who views my images, even long after it has been captured. And that is what I find beautiful.

Anyone who knows me will agree that I have quite the random imagination. Unfortunately, I’m not always able to express myself as well as I like. The other main reason I love photography it that it enables me to bring the visions in my head to life for others to enjoy.”

In May of 2011 Daniel met Danie (Funny, right?), a plus size model and social media whiz. Instantly they had a connection and a shared passion for this industry. After deciding to collaborate their talents and experience, Imagine’at became a joint venture. Now, they have the opportunity to offer clients great photography and portfolio packages but also modeling tips, and tutorials. Plus experience from both behind and in front of the camera.

“When I first started modeling I learned everything I know through practice, great advice from others in the business, working with tons of photographers, and doing a huge amount of research. Having someone to coach me through my very first portfolio session, and give me pointers was invaluable. Modeling is a great business to get into, but it’s a lot of work. Now, after partnering with Daniel, we have the opportunity to give aspiring models pointers from the beginning, which will give them a head start.

But the best part is, this isn’t just about modeling. We do all kinds of photography, from weddings and engagements, to fashion and commercial, to events and everything in between. Everyone wants to take a great picture, and because of our experiences from both sides of the camera, we can help everyone to take the photos they want to cherish for a long time to come”
