Jesse Kalosza is not a photographer by profession. He is a photographer simply because he enjoys taking pictures and capturing the world around him.

He basically stumbled into the world of photography while attending a dirt biking event with friends in 2009. Robert Gaudette a professional photographer and also a friend of Jesse’s who was also in attendance at the event. Mesmerized by the sight of Mr. Gaudette’s camera, Jesse asked if he could take some pictures.

One click of the camera and Jesse was addicted. He immediately went out and purchased himself a simple point and shoot camera where he honed his skills taking pictures of family and friends. Now being fully enwrapped in the world of photography Jesse recently upgraded his camera to a DSRL Nikon D3 camera, the same type of camera that started his passion for photography.

Jesse is always asked what type of camera he shoots with and he always replies,
“Its not the camera it’s the photographer a camera is only a tool, the photographer behind the camera is the artist who captures the moment in time with creative thinking, trial and error.”

Over the past year he has had requests to photograph numerous friends and family members, engagements, weddings and sporting events. He has also photographed agency-represented models, freelance models and also had the privilege of shooting MTV’S Daren Rose. With one eye on the world and the other eye firmly behind the camera lens Jesse will run to the scene of a fire to permanently capture the dancing flames shooting from a building. Jesse has no limits to his photography; he is able to capture the art and beauty in any moment of life’s events.

Although Jesse has come to love photography, his passion in life is tattooing. Tattooing is what Jesse does for a living to take care of his beautiful wife Sheena and their three children Darlene, Ryker and their new baby Gunner.

Jesse has been a professional tattoo artist since the age of 18 and has owned his own shop since age 19. His first shop was in Toronto, he then returned to his hometown Lindsay where he has had his shop for the past 11 years. One of Jesses favourite parts about tattooing is the fact that he gets to put a piece of his artwork on some ones body and they get to carry his art with them forever.


When Jesse is not taking pictures or tattooing he can be found in the woods with his best friends “ his children “ making forts and teaching them wilderness survival skills. His other hobbies include dirt biking and camping.

Although Jesse artistic skills come all naturally to him he is very articulate and is not bound by any medium when it comes to art. He applies art to anything whether it’s building an amazing fort for the kids, to taking a photo or tattooing.
