Exosthetik is metal couture.

Metal couture is fashion made from predominantly practical rather than precious metals. From full-scale occasional costume, to elements within a fabric outfit and accessories to body adornment.

A background in museum replica/restoration armouring techniques is the basis for fitting body-scale metal plates comfortably and functionally to your body shape. A robust development of aesthetic theory and inspiration provides the groundwork for channelling evokative designs through this medium. Metal outfit moves and fits well, has a striking appearance, and sets the wearer apart and beyond in a wide range of contexts and settings.

Each metal couture item is a handmade art object and artifact that will literally last perhaps a thousand years, due the material science of the material used .

Exosthetik boasts the first metal couture catwalk collection shown in New Zealand, in Wellington, Feb 2012, has worked with other fashion designers in their own show-casings since 2010.

Well presented, hard-wearing, often literally battle-ready metal-wear for extreme musicians, fashionistas, occultists, gang members, industrial workers iconoclasts and collectors since 2000 under his previous atelier project, Samael Arms.
