LeeLa MoNae, who is the alter-ego of Felisa Johnson-Freeman, was born in Charlotte, NC but raised in a small town in Beaufort, SC by her loving grandmother.

Felisa graduated from Battery Creek High School, went to the Technical College of the Low Country where she received a diploma in Arts and Science and a Cosmetology license.

Felisa is married and has two handsome young boys and a daughter.

  She has worked on a military installation for 8 years at the Joe L. Warren CDC as a Program Assistant.

  Now she is ready to spread her wings to fulfill her own dreams as a fashion consultant.

LeeLa MoNae “The Cosmic Fashionista,” as she calls herself has a colorful personality, the eye for glamour and the heart of gold.

  She started working for Mary Kay which inspired her to create her own make-up label, which is coming the near future.

  LeeLa Monae has always had BIG DREAMS and she is a well-determined butterfly whose motto is “The sky is the limit, you can achieve whatever your heart desire as long as you always believe in yourself no matter who doesn’t.”
