Meet Alex, a Director of Photography and Producer based in Oakland, CA. Alex launched his career in Southern California while attending Brooks Institute of Photography. In 2011, he began accruing hours to join the Local 600 as a focus puller and stills photographer on feature films and TV series. He was later hired by Valhalla Entertainment, the production company behind The Walking Dead series, to work as a still photographer on a Native American made documentary in San Francisco. The film brought him up to the Bay Area, where he's been based ever since. His work has been featured in publications such as the New York Times. Alex has produced commercials for Embark, a leading AI self-driving truck company. When he’s not DP-ing he works regularly as a camera operator, 1st AC and gaffer for productions of all kinds.
