At the moment, I'm looking for possible portrait subjects on an "amateur" basis. So the results wouldn't be used on a commercial basis, more camera club level. I realise that this might not match other's philosophy, especially who do this on a professional basis. I don't want to do other people out of work, just doing this as a hobby. Having said this, I do want to produce quality work, so we'll see.

I think the process is teamwork between photographer and subject. So I'm looking to convey the subject's personality. The subject therefore has to have personality and/or be a reasonable actor, and we'd look to manifest that in an image.

Possible areas in my head include retro fashion, "the great outdoors", but am open to suggestions.
