My name is Katie Rohrbach, I am nineteen years old. I graduated from Redmond Senior High School in Washington State in 2010. I have always been very talented in multiple areas of art. I completed two years of college art during high school as well as several digital media/design classes. I am won awards for my art and have had pieces shown on display at city hall. Currently I have two of my photos on permanent display at Redmond High School in the teacher’s lounge. I got into photography more over the past three years and have taken several photography classes for both digital and black and white film. For me as far as career areas it has always been a toss-up between professional sports, animal care/rehabilitation, and art/photography. Since a recent back injury I wasn’t able to go onto college volleyball at the University of Washington for which I would have had a full ride scholarship. Disappointing none the less I was able to find a positive outcome from injury. I was able to focus on the others things I love in life; rescuing animals as well as art/photography. Now these two things I can do at once. More recently I have been putting on photo-shoots by myself and using only a few models to work with me. Everything I have produced has been self-financed. Even though I’ve worked on a low budget I am able to turn very little into something extraordinary. For example I’ve sold some of my photos for as much as three hundred and fifty dollars. From makeup to styling to lighting to snapshots I have been managing it all. There’s always room for improvement. My personal quote I try to live by is “never give up.”

I joined MM to get my name out as a photographer while I continue to work on my website which is currently not up and running yet. With one or two of my models possibly transferring colleges I will be short models. Even if you are a model and would like to do a free photoshoot with me that would be great as I would get experience as a photographer. My friend from college who is a beautiful model herself uses this site and told me about it so I decided to check it out, so here I am.
