I sit alone,
Guarded from the hurt of words
Created from other’s anger, ego and fear,
Some intentional, others unknowing.

My wall was built with one defensive brick laid upon another,
Each chipping away at my identity.
Sheltered from what is life,
I’ve lived in my own distant reality.

Interaction is our purpose,
Whether encouraging or upsetting.
My world was lonely though, and the true reality is that man is ego,
Incapable of displaying any long-sought flawless perfection.

I look into the mirror of my existence,
And see that I too need camaraderie.
I’ve begun cutting away at this wall of my own creation
Ending this loneliness and rejoining the life experience I was created to know.

Even the Source of all life
Found Itself lonely in Its perfection;
Then recognized the need to share Itself,
Creating man to balance and complete the flaw of Perfection
