HI model mayhem. I am a photographer looking to advance as a professional and as an artist! I have been into photography all of my life. I have won many photography contest and I have done lots of commercial work for industrial construction, painting, and manufacturing companies. I have also done some billboard and ad work. I have done some weddings and a few pet and family portraits as well. I love shooting sunsets and water towers and have also used those to win photography contests. I started a photography website and posted about fifty varying pics I shot on it. A recruiting scout from "The network modeling and talent agency" visited my site and ask me to join their network and I did. They gave me some advice in a live chat online with the owner and ceo and his top execs. And, one piece of that advice is to do as many shoots in bikini, lingerie, fashion, hair and other fashion areas as possible. They said to me to forget what I think beautiful is, to forget what the model wants and focus on learning to shoot what the industry wants. They advised me to do "test shoots" with no hair, no make up, no props and no lights to see if the model/photographer chemistry that is necessary for successful shoots is there. So now having said that...
I am new to the fashion and modeling side of the photography world. But, I am in no way new to the photography industry. I would love to expand my portfolio and my experience. I am an amazing photographer and I understand everything it takes to make a good photo. But, I know very little about working with a model and on the proper etiquette for a model/photographer relationship. I am looking for both models and photographers to help me learn this end of the industry! I have heard model mayhem is a good place to find easy going people willing to help someone grow as a professional.
