My name is Clay Seymour. I am a photographer in the Wilmington, de area. I have spent the last twenty years as a professional television
/ video camera man. For 18 of those twenty years I had no desire to explore the world of still photography. I was scared away by the thought of dark rooms, selecting proper film stock, and choosing the right Lens to make an image. Finally, someone introduced me to digital photography and the modern dslr. I'm hooked. Much of my career I have studied lighting and lighting techniques which are coming in handy during my transition to still photography. Making pretty pictures on on my Canon 5D is now very similar to making Video. I went out and completed a course at the photography institute, volunteered for an internship at TOMMI Wongs photography in Philadelphia and befriended every talented photographer in site... All in a effort to learn as much about the technics and equipment in photography. My mission is to turn this passion into a career and successful business. I consider my freelance video background as a huge head start and incredible asset. My past experience has giving me an upper hand and familiarity with working with models, pressure situations, dealing with clients, ad agencies , lighting and most importantly... Knowing what it takes to get the shot. I am excited about a relationship with Model Mayhem because I see the potential to increase my client base, experience, and exposure. Ok, let's be real.... I'm over 10k in the hole from all this equipment and I am determined to make this a success by every means possible ;0).
