About Me

Hi!

My name is Shelby and I live in the Sacramento area.

I am interested in collaborating with photographers in order to explore creativity, bring ideas to life, and build my portfolio. I am energetic, follow directions well, have lots of ideas, and am easy to work with. I do not shoot full/semi/implied nudity or anything else that I feel compromises my dignity and morals. If you are interested in working with me, I would love to hear from you!

** Currently I am looking for someone to be my cohost for a YouTube channel/show. I'm looking for someone optimistic, energetic, creative, and who feels passion for the premise of the show. Listing details below.

I'm looking for someone to start a YouTube channel/show/project with me. I have the general idea of what I want to do with it, but need someone to make magic happen with me. My Dad recently and unexpectedly passed away. He was the most kind, giving, altruistic person I will ever know, and I want to do this to honor him & keep his spirit for helping others alive. He was very depressed and unhappy, yet he went out of his way to do random acts of kindness for strangers constantly, & that is going to be the basis of the show. I'm calling it "Can I Make You Smile?" Read the note at the end of the ad that he wrote and it will make more sense..

I want to make something amazing happen. I believe that we as a society have forgotten how important happiness and kindness are in the midst of our day to day lives, and I think this has the potential to be something special if I find the right partner. I'm looking for someone who I have great creative chemistry with, who believes in the power of kindness, and who could see this turning into something.

Clearly I don't have all of the details worked out -- it's been overwhelming trying to figure it out on my own & I can't wait to brainstorm with you to grow this. It's not a paid thing but YouTube channels/vloggers/artists can sign up with the YouTube Partner Program after they reach a certain amount of subscribers and start making money. This isn't about money to me, but of course, you need money to be able to do things and devote time to something, so that would be a goal.

A little about me.. I'm 23, creative, love adventure & getting up & going new places, and generally an optimist (although the last few months have certainly been a struggle..hoping this project might bring on some peace).

About you. . . Looking for someone around my age (20s), creative, enthusiastic..just someone with whom we both feel a creative connection & work well together. Please email me if you're interested with a picture of yourself (I attached mine), about you, why you think this sounds cool & what not.. If you have experience with video making, YouTubing, etc., that would be awesome but if not, we can figure it out together.

Thanks for reading! (:

Can I Make You Smile?

Every day for the past three years Roosevelt, the 53-year-old janitor for our building, has been working to keep our workplace clean. He and I always say "hi" everyday. All I knew was his name and I don't think he remembered mine.

I ran down to the grocery store and bought a cake and had the words, "Thanks Roosevelt" written on it. Spent all of ten minutes and eighteen dollars to do that.

I had our staff gather around a table in our common area and I ran out and asked Roosevelt to come in our office for a minute. He figured something needed cleaning up.

As he entered our office the staff clapped for him and we all shared cake while making Roosevelt tell us a little bit about himself after we all introduced ourselves to him.

Roosevelt was moved and later told his supervisor about what happened. His supervisor called the building manager to tell them about the little party we had and the building manager called us to thank us for being so kind to Roosevelt.

Ten minutes and eighteen dollars...nothing...but it meant a lot to someone who wasn't expecting to be thanked for doing his job.

I love people and I will never, ever stop trying to make you smile. It's important to me.
