Hola. Hello. My name is Esteban Cruz.
I am an aspiring photographer and model.
I am a designer and a visual artist that has long fostered an adoration and admiration for photography and photographers alike.
It’s taken me years to get to this point – but I’ve finally realized - I’d love nothing other than to take what is little more than a hobby now and turn it into a lifestyle.

My experience:

Up until recently my experience had been somewhat minimal, my exposure was mainly as either the creative director, the photographer’s assistant, or the casual observer at either a shoot or on set.
As a freelance amateur photographer however I have been fortunate enough to have had a number of decent gigs over the past few years.
Nothing that would allow me the privilege of referring to myself as a photographer per se, but enough to have more than instilled a certain unrelenting passion for the art.
My experience to date has involved luxury lifestyles, architectural interiors and some, in fact, quite little conceptual or fashion photography.
Which is precisely what appeals to me most and what brings me to MM – I’d simply love to build my portfolio of conceptual photography & high fashion work.

My goals:

My goals are rather simple. They revolve around self improvement and learning.
I am hoping that my membership with Model Mayhem will open many doors to opportunity.
There is not only the possibility of fostering friendships but of meeting potential mentors that can help me on my way to becoming a better photographer, and hence a better person.
A person that, in the end analysis, is able to capture with his lens, the image he projects in his mind. And I aspire to do the same, even though the journey ahead is long.

Reasons for joining MM:

My reasons for joining Model Mayhem are mainly for networking.
I know very few creative people. I know a few photographers that are more technical than creative, and then too, very few potential candidates for photo shoots. Approaching women, or men even, at random in the streets, and expressing an interest in photographing them, isn't always met with an accepting smile. In fact, it’s gotten me into quite the mess on a few occasions. Model Mayhem will make things easier, the web site’s member base will be key in helping me build my photography portfolio.
In summary, I am joining Model Mayhem to meet attractive, creative people with a passion for art and photography, both models and photographers alike are to be in my circle of influence, and hope to learn from each and every one of them.
