About Me

I have dabbled in photography for the past 5 years. I am interested in connecting with other photographers, as well as models, to capture great images. I have mainly worked in studio, but would like to engage in some outdoor/location photography as well. I look forward to meeting new people, and making great art.

My preoccupation for the past few months has been time and impermanence.
Sic transit gloria mundi. Everything - youth, beauty, cleverness -
fades and passes. In the next phase of my photography I would like to
explore the intersection of beauty and decay. In the Great Lakes
region where I live (otherwise known as the "Rust Belt"), there are
many examples of architectural structures that at one time were
beautiful, but, through years of disrepair, lack of use, and
abandonement have become symbols of decay throughout the landscape.
I'd like to create images utilizing these structures as backdrops (and
macro-symbols) juxtaposed with soft, beautiful, organic human beings
(micro-symbols). The overarching message I hope to convey will
demonstrate the ways in which our industrial society has failed us,
but also the ways in which human heroism prevails, as each one of us
acts alone within, and often against, the greater economic system.
