Photography is art, so through it I would love to creative beautiful art which people will be amazed by. Art and creativity is a gateway to what's in a person, and how they view the world. In photography, that's much more difficult because we simply see a picture of what the person is actually seeing, not what they are feeling (though see is sometimes feeling). What adds to this "creativity complex" is how easy it is to be a "photographer" in the 21st century. Everyone has a camera, and these devices are extremely easy to use; with that comes many photos floating around, and many of the same things. With this much creativity floating around, it is much more difficult to be different, and to show what is inside of one's self. Maybe if it were difficult to capture a picture of a car, when people saw "this" picture, they would ponder more of what it means to the photographer. But since it is so easy to take a picture of a car, and there are so many pictures of them, the emotional value of the picture is massively depreciated, almost always to zero. In photography's simplicity, there is much complexity.

With that being said, photographers should strive for something different; they (we) should strive to be different from each other. We should have our own styles, and have different ways of making beautiful images, whether they are of animals, landscapes, or people.

Photographers of people, when collaborating with their subject, should try and use that person to tell a story. The body is powerful, especially expressions of the face. Though more than that, we have a strange sense for each other. When someone gets close to us and we dont see them, we somehow sense that they are there. It is a strange thing, but with that idea in mind, maybe we can do the same with photos (though only with real emotion). When we watch a film, and the actor is in character, we are quite convinced. Sometimes it's almost as though we feel what they feel, that is if we can relate to their situation. even if we cant relate to their situation, we're still human, and we understand their emotion. With that being said, If a photographers subject were to be "in character", or truly in their emotion, the viewer would connect with them on a much deeper level. This, though, is a two way street; the photographer, as well as the subject, must do their job. The photographer's job is to add to the emotion/feeling. When we watch a film, does not the soundtrack add to what the director want's us to feel? In the same way should a photographer use light and environment to add to or subtract from the image.

Like painters have always done by putting everything they had into their work, and latterly thinking them selves to death, we should do the same in our art if we wish to be true artists (hopefully minus thinking our selves to death). I simply want to make something beautiful, showing what's inside of us as humans.

btw...a snap shot is not photography, but is just a picture.
