From the loins of Africa, “Peter” emerged from his vision quest riding on the back of a lion. Peter carried in his arms a basket woven from the gifted remains of an eagle’s nest. In that basket was a lion cub. That cub carried in his mouth a snake. A Western Bush Viper. Its vibrant green scales reflected the setting sunlight in an unearthly way. Peter had nearly gone blind from enduring this reflection for the seven day ride. But Peter’s special eyes developed a protective layer—a paste from sand, sweat, tears and milk stolen from thieves on the road.

Peter’s arrival back to his tribe was much celebrated, largely due to their disbelief of his healthy return. He was sent on an unconquerable mission in an attempt to relieve the tribe’s exhausting effort to help him fit in. He was an albino in that dark-skinned land. Before, he was a symbol of weakness. But now, he serves a symbol of youthful vigor, re-birth, and fruitful African semen.

Peter continues on his vision quest today in the great land of America. His special eye paste is not for sale, but his image-capturing talents are.
