I've always taken pictures, but it wasn't until I studied the works as part of my course that I felt inspired to pick up a camera with any real sense of purpose. In late 2007 I became the proud owner of my first D-SLR and quickly came to appreciate the creative potential photography offered for exploring a personal view of people and the world. Before long my interest in the captured image fused into a passion for photography.

For me photography is about more than just documenting, collecting memories or making pretty pictures. It's as much about the experience of exploring and developing a deeper understanding of the natural world. The mark of a successful photography for me is one which not only evokes the essence of a moment or place, but which also conveys the sense of wonder I often feel while making my images. Through sharing my photography I hope I can carry you with me to share in this phenomenal experience.
