About Me

When Keitric Starks moved to Atlanta, GA from Arlington, TX, he quickly established a reputation for his makeup flair. Learning from Lisha Paris, a female impersonator, while working as a freelance makeup artist for several cosmetic companies, including Flori Roberts and Bobbi Brown, it was there where he first began marrying the two worlds of drag and real life into his makeup style. His turning point was when he met Sam Fine with Patti LaBelle at Rich’s Department store. When Keitric saw the anticipation and excitement in the women who were waiting to get their faces made over, he knew at that point that his mission was to transform women and their beauty from the inside out. He is recognized for his distinctive and exquisite artistry in highlighting and contouring as seen on celebrity faces such as LisaRaye McCoy, Lauren London, and Gayle O’Grady. He pulls inspiration from a plethora of mediums such as movies, books, friends, fashion, and from the beauty that he finds in everyday life. He also encompasses inspiration from other makeup artists such as the late, Kevyn Aucoin and Joey Mills to the iconic Max Factor.
His first professional television makeup appearance was while working for CNN doing makeup for their on-air personalities. After working for a number of years at CNN, Keitric propelled himself as an independent entity in the makeup industry over 15 years ago and shows no sign of slowing down. He continues to strategize branding and building his business into more than a makeup enterprise. His distinguishing work has been featured in such films as Tyler Perry’s For Colored Girls, My Super Psycho Sweet 16- Part 2 and Part 3, and Due Date. His work does not only stop there, but can be seen on syndicated television shows such as Single Ladies, House of Payne, and Teen Wolf, along with commercials for the CNN network, and magazine features including: Jet Magazine, Runway Magazine, Sister2Sister, and Rolling Out. His work has also appeared on Access Hollywood, Monique and the Wendy Williams show. Through his hard and exceptional work in the makeup industry, he has proven to be not only a local makeup sensation, but a staple in the industry.
His extensive list of clients include Lynn Whitfield, Michael Jai White, Kandi Burruss, Shaun Robinson, Jesse Jackson, Nancy Grace, and RuPaul’s Drag Race contestant, Mariah Balenciaga just to name a few. Clients often convey the same feeling when Keitric “strokes their faces”- a feeling of comfort and enhancing their beauty.
Keitric’s motto is that makeup cannot change the world, but it can change and inspire how you feel about your place in the world.
