About Me

Renee Sellars better known to most as" Tori". Is a 31yr old Makeup Artist who's passion for Makeup and Art propelled her into starting her own Artistry. She was born and raised in Trinidad, then migrated to the United States where she lived for a number of yrs. Her aunt was a Model and another was a Makeup artist hence fashion always got the better of her. As a teenager etc she did her own Makeup/Hair for Weddings as well as Grads. At the age of 27, she decided that she wanted to become an artist. At that time in her life she worked 12hr shifts, as a baby nurse. Finally an opportunity arise for a makeup class in New York with Makeup Artist Thalia Michel. Renee ceased the moment! Her Makeup Artistry began when she moved to Trinidad, she then took another class with Jewel Holder.
Her Artistry can go from Vogue to Gruesome! Her artistry consist of, basic makeup to Runway, Videos Shoots, Photo Shoots, Carnival, Editorials, Sultry, Wedding and Gore Makeup ( blood). Creating illusions with makeup, such as wounds, missing fingers, wounded legs, hands, faces etc. Movie type stuff.
Fortunately she has done a few fashion shows, RED RUNWAY, CARIBBEAN PLUS SIZE FASHION WEEK, CLOSET RED, ETC. Renee was also interviewed by Trinidad Express Women's Magazine over the Carnival Season. Some of her work was also featured in Mentality, Metro, and of recent IslandMe Magazine etc. Worked at several Band Launches such as Fantasy Band launch etc., Nicki Minaj "Pound de Alarm" Shoot. She also did make up for Soca Artist Fya Empress and her team for Soca Monarch 2013. In 2014 her work landed her in the news papers again for a "Crime Scene" she did. Renee had the pleasure of working with photographers new to the industry as well as veterans such as, Jameel Patrice, Dion Glen (former Guardian photographer), James Bascombe, Anderson Graphics, Aaron Richards, Armani Savory , Luis Young, Eustace Dyer, Sancho Francisco, Kerron Riley etc. It truly has been quite the experience!
Renee wants people to realize that makeup isn't just about applying stuff to someones face. For her it means more than that. Look at it as this person is trusting you with their life, they are trusting you to make the right decision and make them look fabulous. Nobody wants to look like a circus clown. Therefore she is always working hard and doing her best to make sure the client is satisfied! For at the end of the day if they feel good about the work done it will definitely show behind the Lens, then you are sure to get referrals. Renee takes her artistry very serious, she strives for perfection. Everyday is a learning process.
