Blush was started by me, Raven Andrews, Philadelphia native and Howard University student with a passion for makeup, beauty and skin care in early 2012. Striving to provide creative, affordable and most important quality makeup services to each client.

What sets me apart from most other freelance makeup artist is the emphasis I put on the importance of skin care as well as great makeup looks; using products that are not only high quality but also beneficial to the clients.

I travel to various events including weddings, proms, fashion shows etc. in the Washington, District of Columbia and nearby areas in Maryland and Virginia and also the Greater Philadelphia region.

I am looking forward to networking with many artist, photographers and models through Model Mayhem. I hope to receive honest feedback about my work and hopefully you all can see improvement and advancement in my craft.

Although I do have a passion for skin care and makeup artistry, I haven't had any formal education and I am self taught! Despite being self taught, I am never satisfied with what I think I know. I take lessons from veteran MUAs and I am constantly learning about the most up to date techniques.

I plan to become a certified esthetician and I am considering changing my major and getting my bachelor's in Nursing at Howard (so I can really get into the nitty gritty of skin care)! My ultimate goal is to own my own salon/spa that assess the needs of and provides skin care and makeup services to high end clientele.
