Why are you a photographer? “I failed Chemistry and couldn’t find another class to take in the 11th grade...” (Thanks Mr.Durmah,my photography teacher)

What's with the name? "The nickname Cheff came from the kids in my old neighborhood in Brooklyn, they were always in my house, I was always cooking. And one of my favorite movies of all time, What's Eating Gilbert Grape?"

What’s your favorite thing photograph? “People, but mostly artists, whether models, recording artists, dancers, singers, or mimes, I like to capture people expressing their creativity.”

What’s your least favorite thing about photography? “I hate when the concept or story overrides the subject. The subject provides the story, photography should be about the subject.”

Who would be your dream subject to shoot? “To think about it,I have many I guess, my top three would probably be Gregory Issac, Marilyn Monroe and Bob Marley,

Who was your favorite person to photograph? "Issac Hayes working with Alicia Keys producing one of her earlier songs in a NYC studio, lost those images years ago...still killing me."
