About Me
WHO I AM:
French product photographer who converted from still to life. I graduated from the ESRA film school. WHAT I AM NOT: - a wanna-be fashion tog who produces overly retouched images that look like a bland copy of last year's Vogue ads; - an entitled "artist" who overthinks and overrates his work; - a creep trying to get women to undress for awkward glamour sessions. WHAT I AM: - a down-to-earth guy who likes beautiful and timeless images; - a tog who decided to embark upon a journey of self-reconciliation (I'll never again photograph circuit breakers nor orthopedic shoes). WHO I LIKE: Dorothea Lange, Irving Penn, Henri Alekan, Peter Lindbergh, Sebastiao Salgado... WHAT I LIKE: - B&W portraits; - unusual beauties; - models who have basic a knowledge of the culture and history of photography (after all, you've got to know a little about the field you work in); - models who care a little less about "fashion" and a little more about photography (I use the quotation marks here, because as the son of a fashion designer, I'm afraid I have acquired quite a dignified taste for fashion and haute-couture and I won't settle for average in that field... and yes, I know I'm quite a prick about that, that's my only flaw, I promise... if you can't photograph Gaultier's or Galliano's couture, don't try to shoot conceptual fashion); - people who can work in a friendly and professional manner.
