BEHIND THE LENS

​It is often said that to enjoy life, one must do things with passion. I enjoy my regular job; however I can't give it the same passion as I do when working with photography.

I believe in the art of photography. When I look through the lense I believe that you are not just taking a photo, but instead are developing a photo that in itself is a piece of art.

​This is how I differ from other photographers. I am not out to make a living by charging my clients a bundle to cover my own costs. In my opinion, if you need to charge your clients that much, it removes the passion and turns it into just a living.

Since High School I’ve loved photography. In 1987, I decided to take a 3 year course in professional photography. It covered many topics I enjoyed including lighting, filters and digital photo work. Over the years I learned how to use various types of PC photo editing software, as well as different types of SLR camera equipment. I was always excited to learn something new.

​Up until recently I worked for a professional company however, while employed by them, I found myself in uncomfortable situations while following their rules and regulations. The models were aware of how I felt and, after some time spent thinking, I made the decision to leave the company.

​At least now I can do what I feel is right and, at the same time, can take credit for my own work.
