Ben McDonnell was born on June 2, 1992 in Maplewood, Minnesota. Ever since he was young, he knew he wanted to work in the entertainment industry. Ben has always loved being the center of attention and entertaining crowds. Ben's mother, Penny, told Almost Famous Magazine, “He was like raising 10 Jim Carrey’s at once”. Ben started attending acting lessons at a young age, and acting in local plays before becoming a professional actor.

Later he relocated to Los Angeles, where he has had the pleasure to work with some of Hollywood’s most respected acting coaches in the industry. Ben currently studies acting at "The Groundlings", and with Lesly Kahn.

Ben was cast in the 2015 blockbuster "Concussions", staring Will Smith, where he plays a young Mike Webster. Recently, Ben was the star of "Class Act" coming out on Amazon this fall, and a short film "Blind Love". He also directed and produced his own documentary, "I", now available on iTunes, Amazon and Google Play.

Ben currently spends his time pursuing his career in Los Angeles as an actor. He also loves playing with his Goldendoodles, Nikko and Louis, who can often be found on set.
