For those who wish to understand why I have taken the web name “DrugDoc” I will let you know that I am a pharmacist (it pays the bills). I began as a hobbyist a number of years ago and am at the point where my expertise is now at a sufficient level to offer my services here.
I stumbled into the world of digital artwork early in 2004. With encouragement (and a lot of self training) I posted my first picture in April of that year. Since that time, I have posted over 150 images and have had over 30,000 views of those images. The gallery can be seen here: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/browse.php?username=drugdoc . In 2005 I was introduced to both DeviantART and Photoshop. Thus began my quest to become a master of photomanipulation. My gallery on DeviantART can be seen here: http://drugdoc.deviantart.com/ .
My work experience has been for the most part unpaid. I have donated a couple of pieces to charity and given others as gifts. I have designed web banners and icons for individuals (sometimes trading for a few poses from the respective model). I have had only one paid commission at this time.
Please note that I am a digital artist and skilled photomanipulator. I am NOT a photographer. While I am constantly striving to improve my skills in various areas (like photography), I would direct models to other photographers in the area so that they can receive professional quality work. Depending upon the goals of the project, I might sit in on a shoot and give ideas/advice.
While I am not prudish about various projects, I do have a few rules. I will not do hardcore pornography, nor will I help with any endeavor that would encourage hate (ie racism, sexism, etc).
My newest passion is taking photos and "reinventing them". Often old photos, I restore them, creatively reframe them, and give them my own artistic flavor. If I can do this kind of thing with and old 3x5 photo, just think what I can do for you!
