Hi, my name is Lourdes Angelica Chumbi. I'm originally from Ecuador and came to the states when I was 10 years old. I lived in New York for 5 years that's where my passion for hair and makeup started. My father is a hair dresser and he has been doing hair for 20 years. He has taught me everything I know about hair, and has been the best teacher to me. He gave me the opportunity to work for him as an assistant when I was 17. As his assistant, I was given the opportunity to explore the arena of makeup artistry. My father now owns his own hair salon here in Charlotte, NC where I work part-time consulting with clients in hair and makeup. I also began working with Sissy Duncan a little over a year ago and was able to take the knowledge I gained in the salon with my father out into the world. Sissy, mentored me and taught me how to become an entrepreneur. I am now living my dream of becoming a makeup and hair artist.
