About Me

“You’re so weird” Linsday* said. I glanced up and noticed a confused look on her face. She had walked over to me while at her wedding reception just to tell me that. There I was, a 13 year old kid playing with his first digital camera—a Casio Exilim to be exact—trying to take a close up photo of a fork. I’ll admit that it wasn’t a great photo by any stretch of the imagination, but 13 year old me thought it was a clever and an artsy photo. I remember at that moment thinking that one day, I would know how to take an actual cool looking photo. Fast forward 19 years, and here I am.

It may sound cliché, but I was able to turn my passion into a career. As someone who has worked in the media industry for 14 years, I’ve come to experience and learn many different skillsets throughout. I started out taking dance school portraits, and photographing and filming weddings when I was 17 years old. I loved it. I remember having so many late nighters where I would just play around editing photos and videos for the fun of it.

This career path can expose you to some rigorous days of filming, long weeks of editing, extensive travel, and days where you feel worn out. However, I wouldn't change this career for the world. I love what I do. I have an intense passion for it. Being able to capture and create beautiful imagery is a creative outlet that is truly a part of me. Sorry to get slightly deep and philosophical on you, I’ll reel it back in for those who have read thus far.

As someone who loves creating, I look at each moment I’m working for a client, as a grand opportunity. I’ve had the privilege to capture couples’ most important days of their lives: photographing or filming their weddings or proposals. I’ve had the opportunity to work on national marketing campaigns, and film broadcast commercials. I even had the opportunity to film a commercial for my favorite restaurant. Surf Taco, I’m looking at you for making me hungry right now… Anyways, when it comes down to it, whatever the project I may be working on, there will always be that little kid inside of me who loves playing with his camera.

Now that you know a little about me, I look forward to learning a little about you! Let’s start a conversation!
