I am joining Model Mayham as a Designer. I have modeled in the past both employed and for private Fashion Photographers. I have had work I possed for published, show casing my own designs. As a Designer I have had my textile prints published in a print magazine. I specialize in pants & jackets. I love pushing boundaries and working with unusual prints and fabrics. I have an eye for detail and always match my plaids/prints.
My Goals as far as my career is concerned, I know I have to continue w/ internships- in the long run I can see myself in the UK/EU doing haute couture. That's where I'd like to be. My current goal as a recent graduate from Academy Art University, with both my AA & BFA, is to have a successful small production run, set up a web sales page & look into consignment, trunk show options.
The main reason I would like to be part of Model Mayham is to have the opportunity to network with other participants who are also trying to get out there & be noticed. As a designer, I have always "self advertised" by wearing out my own designs, by getting noticed I feel this is the best way to gain recognition.
Besides clothing design I enjoy Leather Craft, Corsetry, Tambour Beading, embroidery, costume design, painting, pastels, drawing, writing, and enjoy doing Flats, and of course Pattern making & sewing.
