I was born and raised in Germany where I studied Visual Arts including photography and art history while pursuing photography.
In 1988 I moved to Amsterdam to attend a full time program at the academy of performing arts.
In 1991 I started working on stage and in TV shows in The Netherlands as a professional performer.
In 1992, I was given a professional opportunity to move to New York to extend my career to a higher level.
In 1994 I realized that visual arts meant a much greater passion for me and therefore decided to fully concentrate on photography.
At the same time I was very fortunate to have been given the entire dark room of the late Photographer Weegee which allowed me to print and process all of my own work.
I have been a professional photographer ever since. Exploring a wide range from photo journalism, portraits , still life, architectural, wedding and event photography to theater productions and fine art.
My passion for photography has always gone beyond the professional arena as I have found that I cannot even leave my house without a camera, always looking for a new subject or story.
I appreciate every job as a new opportunity for discovery and to push my own boundaries.
Parallel to my photography career, I am also a high end digital photo Retoucher and Photo Editor.
My career is very versatile in addition to proudly being Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo's staff photographer since 1999.
With Trockadero alone, I have been published from Magazine Issues and Covers to Program Books, News Papers, Advertizing and Posters.
I speak three languages and have traveled to numerous cities and countries.
Most favored hobbies are building furniture and travel.
I work and reside in New York and Los Angeles
