EXPERIENCE:

I began studying photography in 1987 in New York City where I first learned to use an SLR, medium, and large format cameras as well as lighting and other accessories. After a near-death automobile accident that left me in various forms of rehabilitation, I am slowly getting back into the art that I have a true love and passion for. One major difference is that I am shooting mostly digital now, and I am focusing on fine art.

GOALS:

My goals here on Model Mayhem are simple. To build my portfolio of models covering a broad range of styles and all the aesthetic beauty that only visual storytelling can convey.

REASONS FOR JOINING MM:

I have found Model Mayhem to be THE top source for talented individuals who share similar interests and equally my passion for modeling photography. I have waited until I had a small body of work specifically models to populate my MM profile with. The time has come. The time is now.

WHO ARE YOU?:

I am an artist at-large expressing my creativity in many various forms whenever the mood strikes me, whatever I may be engaged in when the thoughts bourn of endogenous creative juices begin to pour into the right side of my brain is immediately interrupted so that I may capture its essence in full detail. My creativity spans many areas of art that stimulate more than one sense, if not all of them, from that which you can see, smell, and taste, to that which you can hear and feel. All of it is consumable, and some of it may actually consume you. I have been creative all my life, and I began singing and playing music at a very early age. Before I was a photographer, I was a model. I began studying professional photography in NYC back in 1987 (before the DSLR). I have worked as a personal chef, and I taught the differences between fine art nude photography and adult pornography at a large university in Asia. I have traveled extensively and been around the world several times. Along those journeys, I saw many things from beautiful and breathtaking to devastatingly horrific. Believe it or not, I am a writer. I recently left Hollywood where I was accepted to film and acting school in order to pursue a world-class education at a major university in the bay area. Besides working with living subjects and glass, I write poetry and lyrics, and enjoy other types of photography such as landscape, wildlilfe, nature, architecture, and food. Currently, I am studying photography in a less technical and more aesthetic way with a strong emphasis toward fine art. I am looking beyond which camera I use and teaching my mind’s eye to see differently.

WHAT IS “ARTISTRY UNDEFINED”?:

Quite simply, the name allows me “Boundless Creativity”. I don’t like labels, etc. so I don’t define my artistic expression by any conventional terms. If anything, I defy convention.

WHAT ARE YOU INTERESTED IN?:

On Model Mayhem, I am interested in building a portfolio of models where the body of work is new, fresh, and unique. I am open to your ideas and welcome fresh perspectives. My key concern is taste. The images must be tasteful and carry with them a sense of class, style, and sophistication. I have experience shooting many different genres including fashion, fitness, glamour, swimwear, lingerie, nude, implied nude, erotic, fetish, and boudoir. I am seeking shoots with aspiring models as well as those with experience. Remember, simply asking for compensation does not constitute a level of professionalism and/or experience. Whether our shoot is TF* or money is exchanged, I reserve the option to decline requests and/or offers. Just as a painter chooses brushes, paint, and canvas, I am somewhat selective with regard to who I choose to work with, and who I shoot with is dependent on a variety of factors, and totally at my discretion.

I AM NOT INTERSTED IN: Assignments, being cast for any roles in film productions, any form(s) of trade that may be unethical, immoral, or illegal.

TRAVEL:

I have recently moved from the San Francisco Bay Area to Orange County, where I am nearly equidistant to either The LA Zoo and The San Diego Zoo, but I do sometimes venture back to Northern California.
