Antoinette Johnson was born and grew up in Tampa, Florida.

Her entire life and career has been that of an artistically inclined

individual taking chances further than most dare to dream.

Like her great-grandfather before her, Antoinette turned herself

into a true artist through sheer will and true grit.

Her paintings come from a self-taught school of surrealism.

By a simple twist of fate she has refined this style in a post-pop,

post-Basquiat, post-graffiti world. She paints the figure in

surroundings that create a floating feeling.

The strength of the figures create a gravitational pull within the

painting causing the eye to suspend belief and watch the creation

pop out the canvas.

She is one of the Co-founders of the 950 Hart Gallery in Brooklyn NY.

She currently lives and works in New York City
