I can remember the first time my mom caught me wearing makeup. I was in 6th grade and took my moms makeup to school. Me and my friends snuck into the girls bathroom to put it on. My mom had a surprise when she picked me up and she noticed right away. She looked at me and said “ Do you have mascara on?” I quickly turned to her and said “Don't tell dad!” That was the beginning. From then on I was hooked. It wasn’t until I met my friend Colleen in freshmen year that I started to understand just how to apply it. She also introduced me to MAC, which to this day is still my favorite. I would always have her do my eyes, I just loved the way she did it. We would also play around with all the different fun colors MAC offered. She just had a feel for being able to make you feel beautiful. Because of Colleen, my love affair with makeup continues today.

I have always been artistic, I remember drawing and painting all the time when I was a little girl, but as I got older I started to expand on how I treated my art. No longer was it just on paper, but now became alive in the flesh. I started to realize I had a gift and thought I would put it to use. I started to see how I could bring out certain features and allow the makeup to enhance that individuals natural features.

Today I enjoy helping my friends when ever I can and wether at their weddings, graduations, or just a night out. It has been a great way to gain experience and find out just what certain people like and also what I am capable of doing. Since I am into Ballroom dancing I am the designated makeup artist at competitions. Not only my own, but many of the other competitors. Since everyone wants their own look I am gaining valuable experience and learning something new everyday. Keeping up with whats in is very important because looks are changing all the time. Keeping the costumer satisfied is what its all about and Im willing to do what ever it takes to be the best. I would love to eventually work runway shows or work with a hight fashion magazine. Maybe even one day take my makeup to the big screen and work on movies and t.v shows. But where ever I end up I know I'll be happy because I'm doing something that I love.
