About Me

I'm strictly a hobbyist photographer but have been doing it for a while and am pleased to have reached the point where I can generate the kinds of images I enjoy. I started out doing a lot of airshow/car show photography but these days I mostly do studio shoots; airshows are more fun when I'm not dragging a bunch of gear along. I've really enjoyed playing with studio/strobe lighting and find it a way to be much more creative. One of my favorite starting points is to replicate the look and feel of Old Masters paintings.

I have recently been branching out and enjoying outdoor shoots in the Arizona desert. i am a licensed commercial drone pilot and think it might be fun to adapt that to some art shoots.

Why am I on this site? I'd like to work with models who understand different genres of photography and can help me expand my skill set. I'd like to move into understanding B/W figure, art and pinup lighting and setup. Additionally I'd like some feedback from a wider audience. Thanks!
