Hello, my name is Derrik, and I am a studio photographer with well over 20 years of full-time experience. I am a serious portraitist who did my post-graduate education in art. My day to day photography work consists of personal and commercial portrait work, however, to be constantly motivated by my profession, I have found that personal portfolio shoots on the side keep my creative passions alive. I use models for my personal portfolio work as their own desire to work, the subjects that we can explore, and the creative collaboration that they bring to the table helps further my own growth as an artist and generally goes beyond what my paying clientele are looking for.
