Jackie Cruz has been singing and modeling her whole life, and has entertained thousands with her unique sound, and her time is now. Jackie has made amazing strides in her musical career, and at the young age, has already had two lifetime's worth of experiences. She was raised by her mother and mother's sisters (as well as her Aunt Diane); the same five women that would help her overcome the most traumatic event anyone should ever have to endure - a near fatal car accident that almost left her paralyzed. Even after brain surgery, a coma, and a collapsed lung almost left her unable to sing or even walk, she was still determined to follow her dreams to become a musician.
Her return to music was a quick and triumphant one. She was able to get back to her life with supportive friends and family, all of them spread across the country.
Jackie was born in NYC, but grew up between Los Angeles, the Dominican Republic, New York, and Miami; taking a little piece of each of them with her.
As a singer/song-writer, her travels have put her in a unique position to learn, perform, and record in places most people can only dream about. When you listen to Jackie's songs, you can tell that Jackie will always overcome, that she will always do what she loves no matter what comes her way.
Never complaining, always smiling and making people laugh, there is no space in her life for anything other than music, love and happiness. Ask any of Jackie's life-long friends, and they will all tell you the same thing - Jackie keeps everyone laughing, keeps the party going, and keeps spirits high as effortlessly as she belts out a chorus from one of her favorite Elvis Costello tunes.
Jackie draws strength from her past, and pushes herself to make each song better than the last, never settling for anything less than perfection. The intensity in her lyrics and her performances is only matched by her ability to tirelessly work around the clock in the studio to make her dreams come true. What I want out of this site is more content for my website and experience.
