About Me

My desire to get into Hair and Makeup Artistry started in high school. Being on the dance team, we had to wear ponytails, makeup and lots of it! From there I learned the difference between stage makeup and a daily application. Before I knew it, I was arching eyebrows and applying makeup and pinning up ponytails in the Dance class locker room. After high school I enrolled in Visible Changes University to study Cosmetology. Afterwards, I got my first job as a Shampoo Tech working at True Perfection Salon and Day Spa.

I was blessed to work with Master Hairstylist Kay Simpson and educator Patrick Bradley both help in molding my talents. I completed a makeup training course at Dudley Cosmetology School in NC, I then continued my training working for MAC cosmetics which gave me the resources to practice my craft, garner lots of relationships and clientele. In 2010 I founded Glam Mogul Inc. which not only encompasses hair. After getting so many calls from clients, managers, and agencies wanting me to style their talent wardrode styling was soon added as a service.

Over the course of 12 years, I have worked on numerous projects that I am blessed to have been apart of. My work has been featured in several magazines including Black Mens Magazine, King, Sophisticate's Black Hair and The Source Magazine. This has also given me the opportunity to work with celebrities, but the best of all my talents have allowed me to work with everyday people especially women!

As a family woman, myself we tend to get so caught in work and home we forget about ourselves So when I do a makeover, it is my pleasure to see my client's reaction of joy and glee. It feels good when I can help someone feel great about themselves. I've had some clients hold on to my makeup for a few days I DO NOT ADVISE this but I do take it as a compliment:) Being able to transform someone with the stroke of my makeup brush is true artistry and Im happy to share my talents with the world. I approach makeup openly and I feel everyone is entitled to do what makes them happy!

Remember, there are no rules to makeup, it can be whatever you make it. Never limit your image to what society says looks good, feel free to express your own identity and be proud of who you have become. Thanks for visiting my page and I hope you enjoy my work.
