As a visual artist I am influenced by the beauty I see around me, whether that is in nature or the human figure. I aim to capture the intangible whilst exploring the romantic nature of the human spirit in a reflective way that evokes a sense of introspection with the viewer of my works. Our outlook on life can also be influenced by the images we see around us; the beauty, the harshness and the banal. I express some of the elements that characterize the personality that have been formed by the context in which some people have lived. In capturing the essence of this beauty I work with a wide variety of mediums including printmaking, photography, sculpture and painting.
