My name is Brandy Bethmann and I began my journey in photography by accident about ten years ago. I was a single mom, looking for temporary work for the holidays, when a friend invited me to join her at a local studio. I fell in love instantly! I continued to work there for roughly two years, where I learned a lot about posing (which I still believe is an art in and of itself). While working towards my bachelor's degree in psychology, I decided to focus my minor on fine arts, where I was introduced to photoshop. This opened up a whole new world! Through many photography classes, I was exposed to the more artistic side of photography. Through this site, I am partly looking to expand my portfolio, but primarily looking to deviate from the normal day-to-day "family" portraits, and to get back to the root of the artistic elements that initially led to me falling in love with this medium in the first place.
