About Me

Lex Gaines was born in Las Vegas, NV August 1st 1991 and was raised in Southern New Jersey. In her teen years, her family moved to Atlanta, GA where she attended High School at Westlake High School. Upon graduation in 2009, Lex was accepted to Savannah College of Art and Design Savannah Campus majoring in Architecture. Before the school year began she switched her major to Graphic Design at the Atlanta Campus. In her sophomore year she took a required photography class and "fell in love". From that point on she switched her focus to photography, exploring her new
passion.

Lex currently still attends SCAD, her work has been shown in the annual exhibition Open Studio at SCAD Atlanta 2012. She draws inspiration and admires photographers like Philip Toledano and Sally Mann. In down time, Lex is also an amateur painter
