Skin Detailz is an internationally published, artistic face & body embellishment service that is based in the Toronto area. I tend not to lock myself into the term 'body painter" as, whenever possible, I love to incorporate more than just paint to achieve a specific look. This could involve various accessories, (some custom made for the shoot), including articles of clothing, headpieces, etc. . When planning a design, the model's look and projection of character are often also a major consideration. My preference is to have something of the essence of the model compliment the design so that the final image is stronger before the camera. Therefore, the description "face/body embellishment services" is actually more reflective of my goals as an artist.

All the products I use are FDA compliant & cosmetic grade, including paints, glitters and adhesives. Skin Detailz will not compromise safety by using products that are not designed for use on human skin. My business is registered, fully insured and references are proudly available.

Skin Detailz projects tend to be stylized and focused on elegance. Although I greatly admire the work of others where there's lots going on in the painted piece, that just isn't my natural inclination. I like to zero in on a focal point and use complimentary details to accessorize, rather than compete with, the main thrust of the design.

My best work is where I'm given full artistic freedom to create whatever is swirling around in my head! Of course, I'm fully aware that this can be considerable leap of faith, so I'm open to discussions and will certainly keep certain requirements in mind. Very limited Cosplay projects are accepted as, generally speaking, I don't obtain any satisfaction from exactly duplicating someone else's design. I do, however, have tremendous respect for the skills involved to achieve this type of look and will gladly refer enquiries to other artists whom I admire for their expertise in this area.

Skin Detailz services are time and material based and, as such, can vary. I will always provide a firm quote based upon our previous discussions and agreement to the scope of the project. No one likes nasty surprises!

Several things that I request:

1. Full accreditation to the model, Skin Detailz, MUA/hair stylist (if applicable), and the photographer is to be given in all postings/publications of collaborations.
2. I am allowed to select 4-6 final edits for use in promoting my work. As it is an unhappy fact that people will "borrow" the work of others to self-promote, I do respectfully ask that my selections include both the photographer's and my watermarks. These may be tastefully sized/displayed at the editor's discretion.
3. None of the images may be sold by the photographer, Skin Detailz, model or MUA/hair stylist without prior written agreement by all. Dispersement of any revenue will be based upon contractual agreement that is reached prior to any sales.
