What I shoot:

It's documentary stuff. Photo diary stuff. I'm interested in really mundane and functional architecture -- and in word art that plays off of those kind of surroundings.

Somewhere down the line, I hope to show a sort of surfing culture in Los Angeles or California that isn't really available in surf media right now. It isn't really as tidy or marketable. None of this green and retro granola business. It's more low-brow and garish.


My name is Joe Haldeman, and I have no affiliation with the science fiction writer Joe Haldeman. He's good; I just don't know him. I'm 23, and I live and work in Venice. I work full-time in advertising production, but I'm building a personal portfolio.

I'm looking for characters to help put a book together. I shoot film in 35mm, mostly so I can better manipulate the product while in camera.
