About Me

Hello there,

My name is Adriana and I am the lead photographer for Love Art.

For the last 5+ years in business we've shot over 100 weddings across the country and abroad. The bulk of our work has mainly consisted of weddings and engagements shot on location and few studio shoots. We've also been very proud to be honored with Wedding Wire's bride's choice award for 2011, 2012, and 2013 (keeping my fingers crossed for the next one :)

Our goal on MM is to expand our portfolio into various forms of portraiture; mainly glamour, high school seniors, some couples, maternity/newborn, boudoir, pin-up, artistic nudes and professional head shots.

We are very much open to connecting with both experienced and beginner models, makeup artists, hairstylists and other artists who are looking to start, expand, or update their professional portfolios.

When it comes specifically to boudoir, pin-up, and artistic nudes, the art direction will always be clean, classy and empowering to women as it is created by women for women. We hold ourselves to very high standards and it is one of our main priorities that not only our models feel comfortable, but that everyone else participating and therefore contributing to the shoot is also enjoying the experience.

Now having said that, it is important for me to state that all our creative shoots and portraits are individually styled in a way that is always consistent with our current aesthetic in order to appeal to a very specific demographic. This means that the entire end product from wardrobe, to hair, makeup, lighting, backdrop (studio or location), and even post-production is meticulously planned to achieve a certain concept.

This obviously translates to countless hours being invested into developing each idea, finding the right looks for the model, communicating with assistants, makeup artists and hair stylist in order to covey what looks are expected and finally coordinating schedules.

Needless to say, we take our business and our time very seriously. And so I encourage those who are on the fence about doing certain types of work, or that have a general (or even sporadic) tendency to not honor their commitments to abstain from answering our casting calls and/or our inquiries.

I go into detail about this not be to be harsh or mean, but to protect myself, my staff, and the other professionals on Model Mayhem that I collaborate with, from those who would disregard the importance of our time and ultimately the work we do. Lastly, this kind of behavior also takes valuable opportunity away from others who truly do want to participate and collaborate with us.

In the interest of full disclosure I would also like to point out that we own and operate a home studio. This statement is not to lead anyone to conclude that we are some shady operation trying to lure unsuspecting females/males into highly uncomfortable situations. On the contrary, a great investment has been made into this space in order to make our clients feel comfortable when they meet with us. I have attached an image of our space to my portfolio for those that are curious to see what they'd be walking into. I am 100% confident that anyone that agrees to work with us, in studio, will be completely comfortable in this space since that has been consistently my experience with everyone so far. Whenever studio work is required we always always encourage the model to bring an escort to the studio. this ensures that the model feels comfortable and safe in the studio environment. This is not necessary at all for the studio shoot to occur, but is greatly encouraged if it helps the model feel more comfortable...( a good model should be able to perform in front of several people on a set anyway)

For those of you that want to work with us but are just not comfortable working in someone's home, I fully respect your position and I encourage you to let us know in advance. We will make our best efforts to accomodate you by switching some things around. If my current line of work has taught me anything, it is how to be flexible in order to get things done, while still keeping those I'm working with happy. I have no problem making changes as long as concerns are brought to me in a timely manner.

If you're still reading, thank you for taking the time :) (I know it was a looong one) Please don't be afraid to drop me a line with any ideas or requests if you want to work with us. I'm a very open person and love collaborating with others especially when it's something fun, unique, tasteful, or straight-up raises the bar.

Warmly,
Adriana0
