My name is Janet Watts and I’m 28 years old from the historical Selma, Alabama and I teach 8th grade World History. I love clothes, shoes, make up and most of all being in front of the camera. Some like to say I’m a shopaholic but what can I say I just love fashion. Like most Leo’s (that’s my zodiac) I love attention! I’m outgoing, cheerful, fun, easy going and I love to talk. I’m just a people’s person. At my school, my students call me “Selma’s Top Model” because when I come to school I’m always dressed to impress. I love to dress up, put on make up and be glamorous. I take pride in the way I look, carry myself with poise and grace and educate my students to do the same. I know that I am what this industry is searching for.
I am writing to express a sincere interest in being the next fresh face for this industry. I represent style, newness, sweetness, glitz and glamour…simple and elegant…edge, rock, and natural. I am a very humble young woman who strongly has a positive attitude. As a teacher, I encourage this of my students. I always try to put my best foot forward because this is something I want to do. I have been teaching for five years and in my heart I know its time for a career change. Fashion has always been a passion of mine and I find it to be truly exhilarating. It inspires yet challenges me to take risks. Fashion is constantly changing. With every seam that is being stitched a new masterpiece is being created. I wait for anticipation to coordinate different looks for myself as well as for others. I am looked upon as a fashion consultant to most and I am indeed very flattered that people trust me with their appearance.
As an educator, I have experienced many of my female students who suffer from severe low self-esteem. I would love to be a new face for this industry to educate and promote beauty to all women all over the world especially young girls to be comfortable in their own skin. Hope to hear from you soon.
