About Me

Gic huhi designs by Natasha Antill-O'Brien and Judy Antilll, a mother a daughter team creating one off garments inspired by art.
Those of you who are familiar with Judy Antill's art related projects will be aware of the fact that since 1998 Antillart has donating a percentage of its profits to Human Rights organizations – most notably ChildFund Australia through which we sponsor a child in Kenya. Our happy and loving association with Ian is the inspiration behind the label name.

Twenty percent of the profits from the Gic huhi launch will be donated to ChildFund Australia for their Zambia Appeal Future Farmers project. The project will help young people feed their families and generate income. Our donation will help to provide funds for the planting of banana plantations, sinking boreholes and buying goats to supply milk to vulnerable children.

Now a brief mention about the ‘Art’ - many of the garments (eg - Grotta Azzura dress) were directly inspired by the paintings they are photographed alongside. The new work for this series includes the major canvasses ‘Cabarita (I), (ii) & (iii)’ - Cabarita Beach (nr. Murwillumbah) and ‘Sugar Mountain Plant Abstraction (triptych)‘ and ;‘Sugar Mountain Plant Abstraction (ii)’ - inspired by the luscious tropical plants that grow on Sugar Mountain. The hand-painted Vinyl Wrap Skirts were also inspired by these plants.
