I have had an immense love of theatre and the performing arts for as long as I can remember. Ever since I was three years old, I took ballet lessons and could not wait for my annual opportunity to perform on stage. In elementary school through college, I continued dancing and was also involved in opera and musical theatre. Nevertheless, my favorite aspect of the theatrical was not even the actual performance, but the preparation that went into it. I simply love makeup!

In 2009, I received a Bachelor’s degree in Art History and Arts Management from Sweet Briar College. As an art historian, I am particularly interested in the history of the use of cosmetics and personal adornment. During my time at college, I have done extensive research and have written a number of papers relating to this topic. I always amazed at a makeup artist’s ability to transform an actor and how it can really make or break a character portrayal.

I am hoping to secure a makeup apprenticeship as it is my eventual goal to work as a makeup artist in film/TV, as well as fashion/runway. I am willing to start at the bottom and work my way up! In addition to a great eye for detail, I am extremely reliable and personable. I look forward to hearing from you!
