Natsuko Kondo was born on the island of Hokkaido in northern Japan and spent her early childhood in Nagano. At the age of five her family moved to Winnipeg in Canada. This was her first exposure to western culture in an English-speaking country, an experience that helped shape and widen her views of the world.

She returned to Japan aged 8 and continued studying at an international school in the port city of Yokohama. At the age of 13 she moved to Brisbane, Australia where she is still based today.
From an early age, Natsuko showed an ongoing passion in drawing and mixed media. As an early teenager, she pursued her drawings skills to become an artist, which later developed into an interest in fashion.
Natsuko graduated with an Advanced Diploma of Applied Fashion from Metropolitan South Institute of TAFE in 2009. She was intrigued with the beauty of fashion, the timeless pieces and was fascinated with the constantly evolving fast changing world. She has a great love for patternmaking and sewing.

Natsuko particularly enjoys working all the way from initial design through to the end product and the sense of accomplishment it provides. Through attention to detail at each stage of the garment creation process Natsuko hopes to continuously grow in experience, excel in her workmanship and succeed as an individual designer.

As a Brisbane based designer, Natsuko has launched her Spring/Summer 2012 collection, and are now available via www.natsukokondo.com.au.
