Marcus Williams grew up in Sharon Hill, PA where he spent his formative years as an artist and a writer. In high school he became interested in hair design. He enrolled at his high school vocational program and studied cosmetology. Marcus was in the skills USA VICA state competition and lead his school opening and closing team to two silver medals in 2000 & 2001. After graduating high school he finished is cosmetology hours at Empire Beauty School. Marcus traveled across the city to barbershops and hair salons talking and learning from people who were willing to take the time out to teach him advance training. Marcus clearly understood the artistry, techniques, history and etiquette of hair design. Marcus was tested and approved by the state board of Pennsylvania and was granted the responsibility of carrying on a lineage that has been passed down through out the ages, originating from Egypt. After years of developing his skills and clientele. In 2009 Marcus opened The Art of Style Barbershop. Which was a success and he quickly expanded and relocated to 525 church lane yeadon Pa and opened The Art of Style Unisex Salon. After almost a year of running this new business venture. Marcus decided to return to school to receive his cosmetology and teaching standards at Venus Beauty Academy in Sharon Hill. In August 2012 Marcus graduated with honors. Marcus took his act on the road and traveled for a year working with T.I. and other artist. Upon returning he opened a new shop "STYLES INSPIRED by MARC" where he is currently working. During his career as a classically-trained Barber/Cosmetologist. Marcus talents have been featured in National Magazines, music videos and photo shoots. He is the official stylist for people from all walks of life and is truly living a dream.
