I am photographic artist who specializes in older photographic techniques such as film and silver printing. In the last few years, i have been learning and focusing my attention on building a portfolio of wet plate collodion portraits and figure work of interesting models and characters. The wet plate collodion process developed in the 1850's is very slow to work with. Exposing the plates can take up to 10 seconds depending on lighting. I have examples of my work using this unique process. Each image is made using old antique cameras and lenses, but each image created is hand made and one of a kind made either on blackened metal, or black glass. The resulting images certainly stand out amongst other more common digital and analog printed media. Due to the one off nature of each image, I can give proof scans for portfolio use, but i keep the original artwork.
