I didn't pick up a camera until I was 33, but that's when I consider that I was really born. I learned to use my camera by putting the settings on manual and shot as much as possible. The camera started taking me places; I explored music scenes around the city, traveled with bands, met tons of people, and got written up in the Washington Post.

In the fall of 2009 I began to work on a photography book about the renowned Eighteenth Street Lounge in Washington, DC. I poured my heart and soul into it and 2 years later, ESL: The Photo Book is still like a dream, but now it’s one I can hold in my hands.

I am the winner of PDN The Scene's contest from November 2011.

I just moved to Miami Beach, looking forward to shooting outdoors year-round. I like to keep it edgy. Got an interesting look and some tattoos? Get at me.
