A skilled avid photographer for many years, I turned professional in 2005. In 2006, I was recognized by the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) as a Certified Professional Photographer, having demonstrated superior skill in the craft of photography through written examination and critical evaluation of my professional wedding and portrait portfolio. In 2010, I was recognized by the PPA as a Master Photographer, the highest honor bestowed by the organization.
My photographic art has won many local and international awards, including acceptance into the PPA's most prestigious permanent Loan Collection as well as Kodak Gallery and Fujifilm Masterpiece awards. My work has appeared in the nationally-distributed Professional Photographer and Primo magazines and in corporate communications in the Washington DC area.
I am a member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), the honorary American Society of Photographers, and the Maryland Professional Photographers Association (MDPPA). I am an MDPPA Fellow and a past member of the Board of Directors.
