My name is Virginia, and I run il Sangue, a small sewing label in Seattle. I hope to use this site to expand my network and meet new models who inspire my work!

I have been carefully fine tuning my sewing skills for the past 8 years, and increasing my focus on tailoring techniques. I also have an embroidery machine, and look to improve my range of skills even further over the years. My work is inspired by Lolita fashion, Victorian era fashion, Edwardian era fashion, as well as 1940s and 1950s fashion.
I moved in Autumn '12 from Austin, TX to Seattle, WA, where I am focusing on my own designs. However, I also have previous experience as a production seamstress with CIARLA designs in Austin, TX, where I worked with wedding, bridesmaid, and cocktail dresses in fine, luxurious fabrics.
